In 2022, Samait Shala embarked on a mission to transform the lives of over 80,000 children with disabilities in Gujarat's Public Education system.

Partnering with Samagra Shiksha's Inclusive Education for Disabled program, we've initiated support in 7 schools, through the Cluster Resource Room enabled by the government.

Fruit Teaching Learning Material (TLM) Practicing by Children with Special Needs (CWSN)

Samait Shala enables this step by step by building the capacity of the RESOURCE TEACHERS to become champions for their students in these classrooms.

Some of our interventions include:

• Creating awareness and training resource teachers on special methods of teaching to improve learning outcomes of children with special needs 
• Helping teachers design effective teaching learning materials that can cater to all children
• Regular supervision in classrooms to ensure that these new methods of teaching and new study materials are effectively used to achieve the intended outcomes
• Most importantly, strengthening the support system (teachers, parents, siblings) of children with special needs
