Empower Marginalized Women & Girls to Stay Safe from Cyber Crime

Help us create Cyber Safety Champions in marginalized communities.

The digital world has opened new opportunities for women and girls—but it has also exposed them to increasing risks. Every day, women from underserved communities become victims of online fraud, fake job offers, OTP scams, identity theft, cyberbullying, financial fraud, and online harassment simply because they are unaware of how to protect themselves.

At Sakhi Kendra, we believe that awareness is the first line of defence against cyber crime.

We are launching a Cyber Safety Leadership Programme to train 50 women and adolescent girls from marginalized communities in Kanpur. These women will become Cyber Safety Champions, taking their knowledge back to their neighbourhoods and spreading awareness among families, youth, and community members across 40 urban slum communities.

What We Will Do

With your support, we will:

• Train 50 women and adolescent girls on cyber safety and digital rights.
• Build their leadership and communication skills so they can educate others.
• Conduct practical sessions on identifying cyber fraud, phishing, OTP scams, fake loan apps, online financial fraud, cyberbullying, social media safety, and digital privacy.
• Educate participants about cyber laws, reporting mechanisms, and available support services.
• Provide easy-to-understand awareness materials in Hindi.
• Support the trained women in conducting awareness sessions within their own communities.

Our Vision

Instead of reaching only 50 participants, we are investing in community leaders who will multiply the impact.

Each trained woman will become a trusted resource in her community, helping neighbours, families, and young girls stay safe online. Together, these 50 Cyber Safety Champions will spread awareness across 40 slum communities, creating a ripple effect that protects thousands of vulnerable people from cyber crime.
