Empower Yound Minds to e- Merge

India faces a huge rural-urban education divide in elementary and secondary school education. It is high time to work for bridging the gap. Introducing digital content in rural schools could be an effective step toward this, as digital content, through its interactive nature, makes learning concepts easy to grasp. It also helps teachers to teach in a more demonstrative and effective manner.

Our e-Merge in-school project aims at improving the quality of rural education, specially in government run schools.

We work with school authorities and villagers to create a progressive and positive learning environment in schools, and the community at large.

Our aim is to increase children’s interest in education, their after school engagement in learning activities, improving learning outcomes, preventing dropout from secondary education, and make them ready for the 21st century education system.

We are an NGO working for quality education of most disadvantaged children since the past 10 years. We reach out to underprivileged children in economically poor sections for providing them free quality education. Since 2007, we have helped 17000 children.

We have prepared e-Learning Modules for Math, English and Science and developed modules for Class I to Class X (in Hindi language). Our trained volunteers go to government schools and complete the syllabus from Class I to X through our e-learning video classes. In 2017-18, we helped 6000 children through this endeavour. Our work has resulted into a huge success and the quantitative results shows a 56% increase in the academic level of children.

OUR TARGET

1. To help 200 government schools [ 150 children per school in rural areas]

2. To provide e-learning solutions by covering syllabi in English, Science and Math for 30000 children

IMPACT

Our e-Merge project is improving the quality of rural education, especially in government run schools, by giving access to better educational infrastructure such as digital learning tools for children. A total of 45 government schools have appreciated this e-Merge Intervention through certification as a unique intervention for improving the quality education of children in rural areas. Many of our children from our e-Merge Programme got selected into the Navodaya Exam and we are expecting many more in current year.
