Empowering Girls through Digital Literacy Training

A large number of educated girls with Matriculation and Inter level education are unemployed. Also, women are potential members of poor families who also heavily depend on labour work for family bread earning due to lack of skills. Their qualification and competency don’t get recognition and it hampers their confidence. In such circumstances Job Oriented Computer literacy programme with the addition of Soft Skills for youths and life skill orientation for girls may prove as an important effort to reduce unemployment of educated youth and potential women members. The employment scope in these trades are very high and beneficiary may get opportunity anywhere. 

Target blocks are lacking Skill training facilities i.e. computer literacy, Soft Skills etc. due to lack of skills girls/women search for employment opportunities even at low wages. Gender inequality makes the situation further tough.

The project will provide employable computer skill training to poor girls and women who possess the English reading and writing skills As per need they are being trained in spoken skills along with computer training. The organization is also supporting the trained youths in job placement and established coordination with different govt. and non-govt. agencies where the trained one are placed or they are being self-employed. It is improving the income generation opportunity for the poorest of the poor girls and youth.

it improves the overall status of the household, particularly after skill training and job placement of poor girls/women. It is further improving the education status of family children as they are receiving the learning environment and skills in the family. The trained girls' status improved after getting employment and supporting families in income generation. Further, they are inclined towards higher education.
