As climate change continues to impact agricultural productivity, food security is under significant threat. Traditional farming communities, especially women, have long been the stewards of native seed varieties. However, these invaluable seeds are under threat from industrial farming practices, commercialization of hybrid and genetically modified seeds, and climate challenges. In response, women-led farming groups in Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh are working to conserve native seed varieties, ensuring their resilience, biodiversity, and adaptability are conserve for future generations.

Our Mission

The GREEN Foundation is on a mission to safeguard these seeds and empower women farmers to cultivate a sustainable future. We believe that by supporting women-led initiatives, we can create a ripple effect that transforms rural communities and preserves our planet's biodiversity.

Your Impact

Your generous contribution will directly support the following initiatives:

1. Community Seed Banks: We will establish 10 new community seed banks across Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. These seed banks will serve as repositories of native seed varieties, ensuring their preservation for future generations.
2. Empowering Women Farmers: We will train 1,000 women farmers in advanced seed conservation techniques, regenerative agriculture practices, and climate resilience strategies. By empowering women, we empower entire communities.
3. Field Demonstrations: We will set up field demonstration plots to showcase the superior performance of native seeds under diverse climatic conditions. These plots will serve as living laboratories, inspiring farmers to adopt sustainable practices.
