Empowerment of mothers of special children.

Since the year 2002, Rajammal trust for special children has been imparting special education and vocational training for 45 to 50 mentally disabled children. The Special Mom’s has been facing serious of problems in the forms of vulnerability, gender-based violence, impact of pandemic, lack of adaptive strategies, lack of access to financial services, social exclusion and disability. The lack of socio-economic support and financial dependency has worsened their conditions. 

With a vision of promote sustainable livelihood opportunities for those who are not having any other source of income to maintain their family, So they would get free training on weaving, embroidery and tailoring cum job prospects and so as to enable them to start their own enterprise. With the objective to make the women artisans proficient in tailoring and designing skills, we conduct workshop, To implement this project we requires funds to developeTailoring unit in our vocational center.

20 to 25 special mom's will get benefits from this project.They could earn minimum Rs.4,000/- per month.
