Enabling young adults in their education and career through value based learning and skill training

Udaan has been so far mostly sustained with support from friends and self-contributions. Three years ago, when we set out to find a space to conduct the classes, we were shown a place in our neighbourhood free of charge. Computer systems and furniture we set up for children also came with minimal input. 

However, with our operations expanding and our vision of reaching out to more children and setting and scaling up the library program, we need more funds to sustain our initiatives. We need urgent funds to manage our operational expenses.

We have rented a new place to support our expansion of the IT lab (for different computer courses), community library, languages and math classes, arts in education, vocational courses, and other co-curricular activities. Along with this, we have also doubled our teaching staff and increased the number of students and courses.

The impact of our programs has been felt at multiple levels. The children gain conceptual knowledge in key subjects and varied skills to nurture their creativity. Through all of these experiences, they feel more confident and ready to embark on their own journeys of discovering their talent and aspirations. The parents feel proud to witness their children shining in the light of their own confidence and abilities. The alumni of Udaan are conscious responsible citizens, who chart their own destinies and strive to carry the thread forward and make a difference in the lives of others.
