The COVID-19 pandemic has inflicted immense misery and suffering on our victims. The lockdown has left our victims, who are migrant labourers, daily wage earners and homeless, struggling for survival.  
 We require urgent relief to deliver essential food and supplies to our clients who are worst affected by the lockdown.We also require funds for payment for their medicines, school fees and hospital bills on a case to case basis.We will conduct an assessment of the needs of our clients, source quality and competitively priced essentials, and ensure effective distribution to the affected communities. 
 The effort will bring some relief to the victims who are already facing immense hardships.

Majlis started in 1991 as a response to a growing need for lawyers with a gender perspective who are dedicated to evolving innovative legal practices to defend women’s rights. Headed by Adv. Flavia Agnes we are an all women team comprising of lawyers and social activists. Our agenda for social change is – quality legal representation for individual women in court, changing mindsets through advocacy and training and evolving gender just ideology through campaigns and interventions.
