Every Child Deserves a Champion!

Imagine a classroom in a government school in India. The teacher is stretched thin, managing multiple grades and levels in a single room. Despite their best efforts, many students struggle to grasp foundational skills, let alone dream of a future where they thrive. This is the reality for millions of children across India. But there is hope, and it comes from within the classroom itself.

At Involve, we believe that every child has the potential to lead, learn, and excel. Our vision is simple yet profound: to ensure that all children have the age-appropriate agency to thrive. We are fostering a culture of student-centered practices in government schools, creating an ecosystem of peer support that empowers students to improve their academic and future-ready skills.

In the bustling classrooms of Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, a quiet revolution is taking place. Senior students, once hesitant and unsure, now stand confidently at the blackboard, guiding their younger peers through lessons. These Student Champions, from the 6th and 7th grades, are teaching and mentoring 3rd to 5th graders, creating a vibrant tapestry of learning and growth.

Over the past six years, this peer-teaching approach has touched over 20,000 lives. Academic skills have soared by 39%, and future-ready skills have seen an 80% enhancement. The classrooms, once filled with silence, now buzz with excitement, collaboration, and the joy of shared discovery.

This method not only bridges learning gaps but also instills essential life skills like curiosity, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.

When I joined the peer teaching program, I did not know how to read or pronounce words in English. But within 2 weeks, Akka helped me read small stories, and now I can read words on my own! Akka realised that I was the youngest learner in her group, and instead of scolding me for not knowing or judging me, she supported me by giving extra attention and time with games and activities that suited me." Our Ask

Our mission is ambitious: to create a community of 1200 Student Champions across India, transforming them into confident, skilled leaders, with each of them enabling learning for themselves at their peers.

The cost to support one Champion is just Rs.2500. Through this they will undergo leadership training, reflection and learn how to to effectively collaborate, communicate and solve problems.
