“Every Child Deserves Clean Water : Help us to built Borewell”

Do you remember your school days? During lunch times, after play time or in hot summers rushing towards water taps washing your face, having a glass of cool water? And having a feeling of satisfaction, joy and happiness with your friends?

Now think of a school which doesn’t have an access to such a basic necessity that we often take for granted: clean, reliable regular access to WATER and depends on temporary and irregular supply of water from local market or nearby kitchen. Where hygiene and proper transportation can easily compromised.

Challenges:

We, Chetan and Lokesh JR, are Bhumi fellows and working as an educators at Chennai Primary School, Athipattu. It is a local government school within the heart of our low-income community. The harsh reality of inadequate water supply is a daily struggle. Students and staff face challenges accessing clean and safe drinking water, this scarcity not only impacting their health but also hindering their ability to concentrate on learning.

Our mission is to facilitate the holistic transformation of children’s which is not only limited to classroom education but overall growth as a healthy individual. As a society we all agree that clean water is a fundamental right and we firmly believe that this issue is solvable, and they seek your support to be the catalyst for change.

Vision:

Our vision is to see a school where clean and abundant water is readily available, guaranteeing the well-being of our students and staff. By addressing this critical need, we can create a healthier and more conducive environment for learning.
