Every Child Deserves Quality Education

India has 1.5 million schools and more than 200 million school going children. Even though the nation has succeeded in bringing children back to schools, the larger question of equipping them with quality education lingers still. Most of the under-resourced schools, including low-fee private schools and government-run schools, struggle to provide quality education to students because of lack of resources and support.

In 2013, when we established Mantra Social Services (Mantra4Change), we envisioned a better world - one with equal opportunities for all - the key components being quality and equity in education. We work to impact millions of students by working with low-income private and government-run schools. Through our projects, we take a holistic approach towards improving every school. Adapting our projects to different contexts, we are spreading the message of quality education across India.

Mantra4Change aims to reach out to 500 under-resourced schools and 150,000 students by 2020, in its crusade to enable schools to deliver quality education. We believe that the background of a child doesn't determine the kind of education they receive. Our projects span across over 200 schools, serving nearly 25000 students in 6 states of India. As we embark on a journey to scale with quality across geographies, support us to make quality and equity in education a reality.

After a two-year engagement, students in these schools graduate with the help of our intervention. During this period, an impact assessment indicates the progress each school has made. The increment in community engagement, teaching practices, and students' attainment proved that quality education is highly achievable through meaningful interventions. All of this works out because of a motivated school leader who we strive to empower. Such leaders drive and sustain transformation to promote quality education.
