Story

Oftentimes, young people have only been perceived as learners, but considering their distinct spheres of action in terms of social, economic and educational aspects within the society, they should be recognized as essential agents of change, as leaders, educators, advocates and learners. Youth can assume active roles in the development process with their creativity, potential and capacity to bring changes at local and global levels. To summarize, the key concerns our initiative is addressing are:

1) Lack of Youth Involvement in development process and decision-making

2) Lack of a support system for volunteers to undertake social initiatives

3) The failure of the current education system in creating active global citizens

4) Lack of skill-value-knowledge based training among youth

5) Lack of creative spaces for youth to meet, share and work together

#EveryIndianVolunteering campaign aims to promote volunteerism and empower youth through Youth Engagement, Community Empowerment and Capacity Development. Our mission is to enable youth to engage in the community, empowers them to enhance their capacity, and encourages them to create and lead social initiatives. Being a part of the campaign a youth should engage at least 8 hours a month for community development initiatives. We are introducing a unique volunteer tracking platform to appreciate, reward and accredit volunteers for their commitment towards creating a just and peaceful world. As a part of the campaign, we are now launching an annual celebration of volunteerism - The Volunteers Fest in collaboration with International Volunteers Day 2022. It aims to promote the spirit of volunteerism through engaging, empowering and encouraging the youth of India. Through the initiative we aim to engage 1000+ youth in volunteering activities, empowering 100+ volunteers to create and lead social initiatives and recognise 100+ youth for their effort to promote volunteerism. It consists of a series of initiatives namely - The Volunteer Awards, The Social Hackathon, The Volunteers Camp, The Social Expo, The Volunteer Summit, Volunteer Story Circle, The Volunteers Unconference, The Blindfolded Conversation, The Volunteers Yatra etc.

  • Recognise & Appreciate 100+ Youth for their volunteering efforts
  • Empower 100+ Volunteers to create and lead their own social initiatives
  • Engage 1000+ Youth in community volunteering activities
