Join us in supporting women and children from vulnerable communities in Mumbai’s slums-helping them overcome anemia and move towards healthier, stronger futures.
Anemia affects the health and future of mothers, children and adolescents. SNEHA works with vulnerable urban communities to prevent and reduce anemia. We promote better nutrition, screening, treatment and access to health services. Your support can help us reach more families and create lasting change.
The Story:
SNEHA strives to improve the health, nutrition and safety of women and children, living in the most vulnerable urban informal settlements. SNEHA aims to empower urban women and children through integrated health and nutrition programs and education. It endeavours to enhance maternal and child health, prevent violence against women and children, and promote community health awareness and access to healthcare services.
Our Impact:
During the years 2016-26, SNEHA directly worked with over 763,900 women, children and healthcare workers, and indirectly reached a population of over 5 million in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and other parts of Maharashtra. We work in partnership with the Government and with NGOs in other parts of India.
