Fighting Malnutrition During Pandemic

There is enough food for everybody on earth, yet maternal and child undernutrition is still common and associated with millions of deaths globally every year.

The pandemic has resulted in the loss of livelihoods and subsequent income losses in already impoverished households across. In the absence of mid-day meals and Anganwadi services, the main source of nutrition for thousands of children has been suspended and will continue to be for the near future. It is at this crucial juncture we seek to tackle malnutrition, as it can cause lifelong impaired cognitive ability (learning and thinking skills), neurodevelopmental and behavioural problems that result in poor school performance, and lower adult work performance and earnings.

We provide a kit consisting of a health mix and ghee to each and every antenatal women and child to overcome malnutrition. In the first phase, we are raising funds to support 2000 beneficiaries and the cost of each kit is Rs. 380.
