Hunger is a shared reality, unfettered by wealth, status, or species. Amidst Bangalore's tech parks and traditional markets, stray dogs mirror this pervasive challenge. At Bhumi, our commitment isn't just to alleviate hunger among Bangalore's underprivileged citizens but equally to the often overlooked stray dogs navigating its busy streets.

India is home to over five crore stray dogs, and in the dynamic landscapes of Bangalore — from the tech hubs of Electronic City to the leafy avenues of Koramangala — the struggles these animals face are evident. In 2023, our Animal Welfare program has made remarkable headway. Driven by the dedication of 200 volunteers, we've executed 22 feeding drives across the country, nourishing over 2800 animals. Importantly, in Bangalore itself, more than 300 stray dogs now wear reflective collars, markedly increasing their visibility and safety at night.

Yet, the journey is ongoing. The pandemic has exacerbated challenges for strays, many of whom grapple with acute starvation given the decline in human-generated food waste. Your support can pivot this narrative, ensuring these dogs receive consistent, nutritious meals and vital care.
