Gift a glass of milk to Malnurished children

India has large child malnutrition. We are largest milk producer of not only cows and buffaloes but of goats too. We produce over 5 MT goat milk but most of it due to lack of awareness and systems did not get to feed to malnourished children.

Dairy goats farming and goat milk being an easily available low cost business by rural women seems an alternative to produce and ensure a glass of milk to malnourished rural children, pregnant and anemic women and aged people. People need a home grown natural source of nutrition and The Goat Trust has launched a campaign to link dairy goat farmers to produce and make available goat milk locally through linking producer with local market and for a cause.

We have done 3 phase of experiment by providing 30000 glass of goat milk to 500 low BMI children for 90 days and results has been very encouraging. Children not only relished taste of clean goat milk but 60% children got right BMI and 25% improved EMI and rest 15% due to uncontrolled other factors has not been able to have significant improvement within 90 days
