Give scholarships to less fortunate children

According to India’s World Bank, 8.1 million children were estimated to not be in attendance at school. With no qualifications or employable skills, they stand no chance of getting a good job later in life. Ultimately, educational costs are too high for disadvantaged parents.

With 37% of the population currently below the poverty line, over 400,000,000 people can't afford basic necessities such as food and shelter. Therefore, educational costs are seen as a luxury.

Our programme Shiksha, which means "education", provides financial assistance to over 400 underprivileged children every year.

Scholarships are given based on the scores and grades of students, cover a part of the educational expense, and are paid directly to the school concerned.

Unnati have managed to support over 400 underprivileged students every year since the beginning of the programme.

We hope to support the educational needs of as many children as possible so they are fully equipped to lead a respectable and fulfilling life.
