Give a gift to orphan children

The road to becoming educated is challenging for anyone. For orphans and vulnerable children from broken families, the challenge is even greater. Here at DKSHA Cornerstone Orphanage, our 83 orphan children have a very simple, practical need on their road to education. They need desks and benches! We currently have 16 sets which are in a poor condition and need to be repaired. We also need more sets to accommodate all of our 83 children. We are hereby requesting our friends and generous donors to help us with providing them with the required furniture. I invite you all to join us in this project, thank you!

DKSHA Cornerstone Orphanage provides for the needs of 83 orphans, including education, training, and college expenses; health care, food and nutrition; sports, fun and entertainment; life skills education, psychological well being and counseling, etc. We are dedicated to our children and work hard to ensure that they are taken care of well. We believe that every person is born good and we strive to nurture that innate goodness. We commit ourselves to helping the children under our care to develop their potential; providing a wholesome understanding of the society which we live in, and providing their every need along the way, whether physical, emotional or spiritual! With this project, we are seeking to continue to provide for their needs, and give them their best opportunity to succeed. Through this project, we will repair our old benches and desks that are in poor condition, and will purchase 20 new sets to accommodate all of our children.

Not only will our 83 orphan children benefit from this project, but children from our local, rural communities will benefit as well. During summer months, we offer English speaking courses and leadership skills training to our local children. On top of that, we also train local farmers in organic practices and will utilize these desks and benches for their training as well. Quality furniture will be very helpful for our organization to effectively complete its work. While sitting on the floor is free, it becomes uncomfortable and distracting over a long period of time.
