Give Health, Give Hope: Support Mental Health for All with SNEHA

In Mumbai’s crowded informal settlements, stress, anxiety and depression are everyday struggles. But stigma and lack of awareness mean that most people — women and youth especially — suffer in silence.

SNEHA (Society for Nutrition, Education and Health Action) is working towards creating a healthy urban world. With over two decades of experience in community health, SNEHA provides free and confidential counselling, a mental health helpline, community healing circles, emotional resilience sessions for youth and training for frontline workers on addressing mental health. We also work with the public health system to make mental health services more accessible to women and youth living in urban slum communities.

Through this campaign, we aim to raise ₹5,00,000 to:

• Continue and extend the SNEHA Counseling centers in the community .
• Strengthen the cadre of community-based support groups across Mumbai.
• Train our frontline workers and volunteers in basic mental health support.
• Run awareness campaigns to reduce stigma and encourage open conversations.
