Household chores, taking care of elders/children, and social norms don’t allow women to go out and find livelihood. There are few realistic livelihood options for women.

Women earning a livelihood has multiple and deeper impact not just for themselves but for their families. Livelihood leads to improved self esteem as well.

Health access for women is often limited. Access and awareness to basic healthcare services leads to improved to health outcomes for women and their families.

Maya’s Health platform enables and empowers women to earn a dignified living.

MAYA Health helps provide livelihood means to women who otherwise have little means of earning. A micro-entrepreneurship model that ensures sustainability of the program.

This venture provides last mile health access to women who don’t readily and easily don’t avail basic health services (public or private).

MAYA Health trains women to become community Health Entrepreneurs. The Health Entrepreneurs go door-to-door and provide health screening services such as BP and sugar tests for a fee. The women Health Entrepreneurs keep 100% of the fees they earn from their hard work.

MAYA Health needs funding to help train and certify women, finance health kits (Rs. 6,000 per kit), and help pay for coordinator salaries.

Each woman Health Entrepreneurs earns Rs. 4,000-5,000 per month by doing 100-150 screenings per month in their community.

Total screenings of 10,000 per month, leading to early diagnosis of high BP and sugar about 25% of the total screened.
