Hearts and Paws Unite: Bhumi's Compassionate Care for Stray Animals

Hunger is a shared reality, unfettered by wealth, status, or species. As a compassionate NGO, we strive to alleviate hunger among underprivileged people in India and the forgotten stray dogs that roam our streets.

Currently, in India, there are more than five crore stray dogs. In 2023, our Animal Welfare program has made significant strides. Fueled by the dedication of 200 volunteers, we've carried out 22 feeding drives, providing sustenance to over 2800 animals. Furthermore, we've equipped more than 300 stray dogs with reflective collars, increasing their visibility at night and, consequently, their safety.

Despite this progress, we recognize that our work is far from complete. For every stray dog we have helped, countless others still grapple with starvation and danger on the streets. The pandemic took a heavy toll on the strays, with over 45 million suffering from severe starvation due to the sudden unavailability of human food waste they previously survived. Your generous contribution can help mitigate this grim reality, ensuring these vulnerable creatures receive regular, nutritious meals and necessary care.

It takes anywhere around Rs. 50 to Rs.100 to prepare one wholesome meal. Last year, we at Bhumi turned all donations towards animal welfare into lifelines, fueling hope and life into thousands of strays.
