Every child deserves a chance to learn, grow and belong. But for 13 children from below-poverty-line families in Bhopal, that chance is slipping away—not because of lack of potential, but because their families simply cannot afford the therapy they need to join the mainstream education system.
At Aadhaar Counselling and Therapy, we run a flagship initiative called the School Readiness Program—a comprehensive, therapy-led day program that helps children with developmental disorders become school-ready. These children require regular speech therapy, occupational therapy, and personalised intervention planned under the expert guidance of a developmental pediatrician.
Each child’s progress is closely tracked with detailed assessments every three months.
Why We Need You
For these 13 children, therapy costs ₹13,000 a month ( cost per child). That’s ₹1,69,000 a month in total—and over ₹20 lakhs a year. But today, we are asking for your help to raise just ₹12 lakhs — enough to give them consistent, uninterrupted therapy for the rest of the year.
Without this support, we face an uncertain road ahead. Our therapists and team cannot focus fully on the children’s development if financial strain overshadows our mission. Your donation ensures that the team can do what they do best — give these children the focused, quality care they deserve.
(This is how our RCI-certified therapist provide various therapy to our kids)
How Aadhaar Is Different
While most therapy centres cater to children from well-off families, Aadhaar has opened its doors to children from the most vulnerable backgrounds. All our therapists are RCI-certified and all therapy is planned and executed under the careful supervision of a developmental pediatrician.
We don’t just provide therapy — we walk alongside each child and their family, helping them overcome stigma, shame, and the systemic barriers that deny them dignity and opportunity.
Nothing speaks like transformation. Real faces, real results. (This photo is of Anuraj who was diagnosed with autism. Constant help and therapy has helped Anuraj join mainstream education)
Anuraj’s Story: Back to School — With Confidence, Not Labels
Anuraj was just 5 years old when he joined Aadhaar. Diagnosed with Autism, he could barely communicate. His family, from a low-income background, had nowhere to turn — until they found Aadhaar.
After a year and a half of dedicated therapy through our School Readiness Program, Anuraj now attends a mainstream school. Recently, he dressed up as Singham for a fancy dress competition — wearing sunglasses, delivering full dialogues with style and confidence!
These may seem like small milestones to the world, but for us, they are nothing short of heroic.
Inclusion Shouldn’t Be a Privilege
Children with disabilities from low-income families are the most marginalised in our society. They are often excluded from both education and empathy.
Let’s change that — together.
