They are pushed out of their homes. Feared by people on the streets. Left to live in pain.
Old, frail, and alone, those affected by leprosy are often abandoned not because they are contagious, but because many people treat them with disdain. Untreated wounds eat away at their bodies. Nerve damage makes them incapable to work, to live independently. Hunger, infection, and suffering become their daily reality. This is not a disease of the past. It is happening now in remote pockets outside cities and villages. Despite the fact that leprosy is completely curable, thousands suffer simply because of poverty and because they were rejected before they could be treated.
Our NGO partner, GoodBye Leprosy, has been out on the field treating and helping thousands of leprosy patients for decades. But without your help their work can come to a halt. Donate generously to save lives now.

Restoring dignity through care and compassion
Any individual who is affected by leprosy feels rejection the moment they think, “Oh, that man fears me.” Antony Samy, founding member of our GoodBye Leprosy, shares that this emotional wound is often deeper than the physical pain. When patients finally step into the GoodBye Leprosy center, they arrive broken, fearful, and in agony. Here, they are treated differently. They are treated with love, respect, and dignity.
At GoodBye Leprosy, medical care begins immediately, treating infections, managing nerve damage, dressing wounds, and providing physiotherapy to prevent lifelong disabilities. Alongside this, patients receive counseling and reassurance. Antony explains that when patients realise their disease is not because of any curse, they get confident and hope returns.
He says they have helped hundreds and rescued them from hopelessness, restoring their strength and their confidence. Old men who had stopped walking learn to stand again. Elderly women who were shunned begin to smile, speak, and believe they still matter. Each recovery is a reminder that leprosy does not have to steal a person’s life or dignity.
Your donation can save lives today
By donating to NGO GoodBye Leprosy, you can save lives. “Your donation turns into on-ground impact in the hands of a leprosy worker, in the hands of a doctor, in the hands of a physiotherapist and community counselor,” Antony explains. Every contribution directly supports medicines, wound care, surgeries, physiotherapy, nutrition, and outreach efforts to reach those still suffering in silence.
“You can save lives. Please donate and support to save lives of leprosy-affected people,” Antony urges. Your support today can mean timely treatment for an elderly patient, relief from unbearable pain, and the chance to live their remaining years with dignity and care.
