Help children grow in a stable environment with plenty of food, shelter and love - the essentials in life

The Project started in 2007, to teach the laborer's children in and around Gurgaon. Later; it spread its wings to bring under its shade, the youth who have never been to school and were falling prey to drug and tobacco abuse.

To rectify these derailed kids and give them employment, food and shelter; this project grew. Then the women who were abused by drunk husbands were taught sustainable ways to earn their own living with dignity.

Due to this, stitching & silai centres and knitting & embroidery centres were created, where these ladies could learn and earn with dignity. The project provide food to all its learners and teachers on daily basis.

Jagriti had organised dental and eye check up camp for learners wellness. Sports camp was also organised where healthy competition amongst students and other NGO students was created.

Diwali and X'mas carnival boosted the confidence of the kids as the products created by them during the year, were appreciated and loved by the visitors.

The dilli darshan project and environment project to plant a tree and take care of it was a big hit amongst kids and youth. The Safai Abhiyaan camp made them learn the benefits of cleanliness inside and outside their school and home premises.

Jagriti has changed the lives of more than 850 kids, youth, and women in its last 8 years of working with the underprivileged. It is proud to provide decent way of earning to women and youth who are not interested in class room learning but, practical learning and earning!

The kids at Jagriti learn basic R's of learning and side by side are taught competition in sports and learning. They are taught music, yoga and soft skills that helps them earn, if they are going through a rough phase in life.

The impact of hygiene is so strong that no child, youth or women of Jagriti would ever forget the importance of using clean toilets, usage of soap and clean water!
