Help Frontline (ASHA) workers fight the battle against Covid

The second wave’s spread is catastrophic, after Delhi and Maharashtra, we see it moving furiously towards UP and it is noted that 65% of cases reported in UP are from the rural areas because of lack of awareness.

To help spread the awareness, we have frontline COVID warriors, ASHA didis, supporting on-the-ground surveys and outreach by going house to house to identify active cases and providing the vulnerable families with required support. Frontline worker's safety is of utmost importance as they are trained to manage community interventions and a precious resource in these uncertain times. ASHA workers currently do not always have enough Covid Safety kits to protect themselves from the virus. They are risking their and their family's well-being to ensure the safety of thousands!

We aim to equip as many warriors as possible with Safety kits (Masks, Soap, Sanitizers, Face Shields), to support at least 2 months for each frontline COVID warrior. Every ASHA worker can reach out and provide support to 10 vulnerable households and ensure covid appropriate behaviour.

As volunteers for Indus Action, we aim to mobilize our resources, friends, and family who are indebted to these warriors for their service.

Every single paisa will be used to procure safety kits and deliver them to ASHA Workers.

We aim to support our COVID Heroes, who are fighting relentlessly every day to keep us safe and serve the ones affected. 

Meanwhile, our COVID warriors can fearlessly continue to be the first line of defense. The safety kits will:

1. Protect ASHA workers from getting infected
2. Protect families they work with from further spread of the virus
3. Give confidence and assurance of safety for their own family members
4. Equip them to reach out to inaccessible families in rural and urban to provide timely support and information
