Every Pond We Restore is a Village We Save. India is losing its water bodies fast. Ponds that once sustained entire villages, providing drinking water, recharging groundwater, supporting life - are being choked by sewage and neglect.
GuruJal, an initiative of Abhipsa Foundation, restores these dying water bodies using nature-based solutions, giving clean water back to the communities that need it most.
Our work so far:
- 30+ water bodies restored across Haryana, UP and Rajasthan
- DPRs prepared for 200+ ponds
- 1,12,000+ native trees planted for ecological restoration
- 4.23 crore litres of groundwater recharged
- 2.075 MLD of wastewater treated
- 1.35 lakh people positively impacted
- 3,083 tonnes of CO₂ sequestered
