Help Kids With Cancer Win #HalfTheBattle Because We Believe #CanKidsCan!

Close your eyes and reflect for a second! Has cancer affected someone in the circle of people you know (family/extended family/friend/neighbor/colleagues family)?

2020 itself recorded over 19 million cancer cases worldwide. Every year there are 300,000 children diagnosed with childhood cancer, with India having over 80,000 cases.

Most of these children belong to low or middle-income family groups due to which the families are not able to offer proper care and treatment. The scourge of cancer takes a great toll on a family physically, emotionally, financially. Now imagine the effect on a poor worker in a small town or a farmer in a village in rural India!

They need help with proper guidance, diagnosis, treatment, finances and counselling. They need #AccessToCare and the right to live a full life. 

Founded in 2004 by Poonam Bagai, herself a Cancer Survivor, CanKids has taken the lead in providing complete care to Children with Cancer reaching out to over 20,000 children in 2020. We need your help to win atleast #HalfTheBattle this year and help at least 40,000 children in the coming years.

The CanKids model of YANA (You Are Not Alone) is a holistic approach beginning from detection to treatment and recovery for children with cancer and their families. 

This has been implemented in partnership with 103 cancer centres in 43 cities and 22 states across India. We also built 10 Home Away From Homes where families visiting cities for treatment can stay with dignity in a homely, caring and positive environment. 

With #CanKidsCan we are raising resources and funds to expand this proven model and reach places where hospitals, proper shelter and treatment are not available to provide #AccessToCare to even more children with cancer and their families. 

Your donations will give them diagnostics, proper medical support, a home away from home, emotional support and counselling. Rs 2500 provides holistic treatment for a child with cancer for a month.

We believe that there should be no reason for a kid with cancer to lead a different life from any other child. With our campaign #CanKidsCan, we wish to create a cancer-free world for them and impact the lives of at least 40,000 children with cancer in 2021.
