Story

With the strong belief that quality education is the most potent way to uplift economically weaker sections of society from poverty and reduce disparities, Mahavir Foundation Trust has been focusing on supporting deserving students from such backgrounds.

The organisation supports underprivileged young people through various schemes - from street schools to mentoring high school students and supporting them through university education. It in last 20 years since its inception, the trust has supported 20,000+ students, thus improving the economic well being of as many families.

Educating the children of parents whose lack of literacy have kept them in poverty, is the best, long-term way to build more prosperous communities.

Help Mahavir Foundation Trust in expanding this impactful initiative to reach 6,000 more beneficiary students. A sponsorship of the yearly costs of students will not only provide financial assistance but could also connect them with sponsors who could act as guides or mentors.

Approximate expenses per student per year are as follows:

  • Standard 8th to 10th, - Rs. 5000/-
  • Standard 11th, 12th / Engineering Diploma/B.Com/B.Sc/BBA. - Rs 8000/-
  • B.E/B.Tech/MBBS/CA/CS/CMA - 10,000/-
  • Shining Stars - Special program for outstanding students from standard 11th up to college - Rs. 21,000/-

The intended impact

Mahavir Foundation Trust believes that providing quality education to students from poor families is the best way to uplift communities in the long run. Their experience suggests that even partial/limited financial assistance acts as a great motivator for these students and their parents. Enabling these students to realise their inherent potential has a positive impact on the economic condition of the entire family in the long run.

Support Mahavir Foundation Trust's mission of helping bright, deserving young minds to realise their potential and build better futures for themselves and India.
