Campaign by Community Organisation For Social Transformation Trust - COST TRUST
In the Tribal communities of Dindigul, Tamil Nadu more than 2000 children have been deprived of one-time meal since the pandemic. COST Trust aims at providing nutritious meals long with other amenities to close to 2500 children in this community. A contribution of ₹100 per child per day would enable the organisation to achieve their mission.
India is facing a deadly second wave of the COVID-19 epidemic. Among all, the worst hit was an underprivileged segment of the society. Many people have been dying and are infected each day. Underprivileged people need food to survive each day and the lack of basic resources further has worsened the already existing hunger and poverty situation. Daily wager workers and tribal families had any source of income of food. Latest study has shown that COVID has pushed 230 million Indians into poverty. Millions of Indians are struggling to eat even one meal a day. 95 millions children are without nutritious foods/meals in their poor families due to the lockdown and COVID-19 pandemic.
Our targeted 50 tribal poor villages don't even have any health care and adequate educational facilities. The tribal children are not getting a proper education, values, food, and other basic amenities for sustenance and healthy growth. More than 2000 children have been deprived meals during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.
We are providing nutritious food and healthcare for Tribal poor families through “Food for Poor” Program in order to give meaning and reduce the poverty and malnutrition of their lives.
This project will supply of Nutritious food and health care to Tribal poor hungry children and families who are affected due to the second wave of COVID-19 lockdown.
We identified 1000 such Tribal poor families, 2500 Children from the District of Dindigul in India and decided to supply the foods and health care services to the Tribal families in the Tamil Nadu state with your support.
Your contribution will provide rich nutritional foods and healthcare. Our aims to support 2500 Children and 1000 families in Dindigul District India.
Lockdown helps to prevent the community spread of COVID-19 disease, which directly reduces the hunger poverty, mortality rate and thereby ensuring the health safety of the children and families in Dindigul District Tamil Nadu India.
