Help Provide Oxygen Concentrators for Covid-19 Patients in Tamil Nadu

The world has been battling COVID-19 for over a year now. But in the last 2 weeks, the caseload across the country has been increasing rapidly. 

Once again, we are in a situation where our healthcare infrastructure is buckling under the weight of such unprecedented demand. 

If we continue to take no action, we will soon have to make the terrible choice of whom to save.

To help mitigate this disaster, UNITED WAY CHENNAI is raising funds through Give India to procure necessary medical equipment to help Government hospitals care for all patients. We are working with the Government of Tamil Nadu to ensure every rupee donated is fully utilized.

Last year, through collective action, we raised approximately 90 Lakhs and provided 8 ventilators, 9 patient monitors, 3 syringe infusion pumps and 230 PPE kits to the Military Hospital at Avadi, Chennai

The time to act is now. Every day is an opportunity to save more lives.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DONATE MONEY?

Step 1:UWC works with the Government of Tamil Nadu to identify hospitals in need

Step 2: UWC makes a list of necessary medical equipment at the hospital

Step 3: Medical equipment is purchased and dispatched to the hospital recommended.

You will also be pleased to know that thanks to Milaap, every rupee donated towards this initiative is utilized 100% to procure and dispatch these oxygen concentrators.
