Help Satsang Vidyalaya educate and uplift rural children

Established in 1999 by The Satsang Foundation, Satsang Vidyalaya is a fully free school that aims to bring education to the impoverished and often neglected children of rural Andhra Pradesh. Majority of students, who are first generation learners, belong to the Lambani tribal community and children from low-income multi Religious communities living in and around Madanapalle, A.P. Most of these children would be unable to go to school because of economic constraints of their families and due to lack of awareness of a good education’s benefits.

Along with quality education, Satsang Vidyalaya also provides nutritious midday meals and snacks daily all year round. Regular health check-ups are conducted at the foundation’s Swaasthya Hospital to keep children in good physical health.

From humble beginnings of just 8 students in 1999, in just twenty-five years, the Vidyalaya has grown into a vibrant school with 1087 students enrolled thus far. 

The 2025 batch consisted of 221 students studying from Classes I to X. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to secure funding for all the students that enrolled for the academic year. All the students are now focused on passing the exams to be conducted over the next couple of months and progressing to the next grade.

For the upcoming academic year of 2026, we expect to enroll 243 students. This increase is a result of the good work done by our teachers and staff at The Satsang Vidyalaya which has won the confidence of the local community. Additionally, thanks to several of our Satsang Vidyalaya alumni, who have become great brand ambassadors for the school, word has spread to nearby towns and villages about the benefits of studying at the free school run by The Satsang Foundation.

On an average, the annual fee per student at The Satsang Vidyalaya amounts to ₹30,000. This includes the full year’s tuition fee, educational kit (free uniforms, textbooks, sports equipment and other aids), daily mid-day meal all year round. The annual fee also takes care of staff salaries and general school maintenance.
