Help Snehalaya be a home to the homeless

Snehalaya is a beacon of love and hope for children in need of care and protection. Since its start in 2000 by the Salesians of Don Bosco, Guwahati Province, Snehalaya has been a sanctuary for vulnerable children, nurturing them with love, care, and opportunities for a brighter future.

What began as a modest Shelter Home for boys under the guidance of Fr. Lukose Cheruvalel has now grown into a sprawling network of five Children's Homes, each dedicated to fostering the holistic development of its young residents.

Let us introduce you to the homes:

1. Snehalaya Children's Home for Boys - Dhirenpara: Serving as the oldest residential service, this home caters to boys aged 12 to 16, providing not just academic education but also nurturing their integral development.
2. Snehalaya Centre for Child Rights - Paltan Bazar: This home offers refuge to senior boys aged 16 to 18, supporting their academic endeavors while also providing crucial counseling services to prepare them for their transition into society.
3. Auxilium Snehalaya - Noonmati: Dedicated to girls aged 6 to 11, this home ensures the fulfillment of their basic human rights alongside academic education.
4. Jyoti Snehalaya - Beltola: Catering to girls aged 12 to 18, this home goes beyond academics, offering life skills training and counseling to empower its residents for successful integration into society.
5. Ila Snehalaya: Providing a nurturing environment for boys aged 6 to 11, this home focuses on their formative growth and development, ensuring they receive both care and academic education.

At Snehalaya, the care extends far beyond just shelter. We provide a comprehensive range of services to meet the diverse needs of our children:
