Help The Devadasi Community survive the second wave!

At present, Karnataka reports around 45,000+ COVID cases per day. Devadasi families in North Karnataka who depend on sex work, daily wage labour and other small business have lost their livelihood. Their added vulnerability due to their poor socio-economic status, places them and their children at great risk, where they have limited or no means to survive. Many of them are being forced into sex work, resulting in physical and sexual abuse.

They are currently facing a shortage in supply of basic groceries and hygiene essentials. They also lack adequate awareness about managing the present wave, leading to panic and further risk of infection.

Support to 1000 Devadasi families and 8407 children

• Supply of Ration - Rice, Dal, Cooking oil, Spices and Flour
• Covid Protection Kits - Face masks, Sanitiser, Gloves and Soaps
• Health Advice
• Promotion on safe practices and awareness on vaccination

• Providing Devadasi families with food security
• Ensuring Devadasi families are well protected from the virus

The above security would also protect families and their children from abuse and violence.
