• The Old Age Home does not receive any Grants or Funds from Govt. or any other funding agencies. And hence, the Trust solely depends on the local donations.
• The Trust, since 2001, been running this facility from rented premises only. There are many inherent issues associated with running an Old- Age Home in rented buildings like, insecurity, prone to evacuation, restrictions in hosting mass prayers & recreational activities for the elderly Residents, no breathing space as the building is jam packed with materials and furniture. The major issue is that the Trust is unable to serve more number of needy elderly other than the numbers approved by the House owners. At rented premises, the Trust cannot alter the infrastructure to suit the needs of the elderly Residents such as ramp for wheel chair maneuver, supporting rails for the walkers, separate walking trail for the elderly and so on.
• Every month the Trust receives many new elderly persons who come seeking shelter and care. With this sort of  insufficient  infrastructure, the Trust finds it really difficult to serve them too. Nevertheless, we have, so far, been able to fulfill our promises made to them.
• The Founder Mr. Mohan Pai passed away in the year 2010 which has created a great gap in our resource mobilizing efforts and hence, it becomes important on our part to mobilize enough and more resources to make sure that those needy elderly get due care and support.

The monthly budget of the Trust is Rs 11,00,000 ( includes expenses on food for 100 elderly & 25 in-house staff, rent for 2 buildings, water, telephone & electricity bills, Adult Diapers, medical expenses, care takers salary etc). Though the Trust is able to take care of those elderly in need, through the support extended by many philanthropic individuals and a few corporates yet, it is a herculean task to find the resources every month.

The sustainability of the programme will be assured by raising required funds for meeting the recurring expenses. The formation and strengthening of the Old Age Home with Children Residential Care unit will enable the Trust to attract adequate funding from local donors which in turn will ensure the sustainability.
