Help us to update our computer lab

Our computer lab was upgraded with donated used computers 5 years back, now it is defunct because of old CRT monitors. We have 8 hours of power cut every day in the day time, which made the lab defunct. The CRT monitors do not work on battery power. We need some items to upgrade the lab and make it fully functional. 

Since its inception in 1959, Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal (SSM) www.ssmandal.net has been adopting modern methods of teaching and innovative technology in imparting education, from time to time. With an intention to bestow computer-based education to under-privileged, economically below poverty line children, SSM developed a computer lab with the help of visionaries and philanthropists.

SSM runs “Vishwakarma Technical School” providing the course of HSC Vocational, recognized by Vocational Education and Training, the Government of Maharashtra since 1980, which is equivalent to ITI. We also conduct Agri-Business Management, a three-year graduation program designed to groom young boys and girls as professional managers for the core areas in the agriculture sector.

The course is affiliated with Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University (SRTMU), Nanded. SSM also runs a Skill Upgradation of Rural Youth in Agriculture (SURYA) Project to upgrade the knowledge and skill of the rural youths in agriculture and to train the youth on commercial agriculture for enhancing the farm income and create economic stability.    

The technical course provides vocational education to 180 students per year in the trades of Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Technology. Presently Agri-Business Management program imparts education to 40 students in the course. 

We train 600 youth through the SURYA project every year. We could impart education to more candidates by updating our computer lab. In this context, we seek your generous support.
