Help Us Transform Lives Through Green Skilling of Youth and Turning Them Into Swachata Karigars

Campaign by Solid Waste Management Round Table (SWMRT)

Story

Meet Vasu, our field staff.

Vasu's journey is a testament to the transformative power of education and opportunity. Having worked in construction after discontinuing his studies from an early age, Vasu's life took an unexpected turn while working on a college wall. It was there that he first heard about a course in solid waste management, a spark that ignited a newfound passion.

With determination and the desire for knowledge, Vasu enrolled in the course, which also offered a two-month internship at SWMRT. During this internship, Vasu and his 12 fellow classmates delved into various aspects of composting, waste management, and sustainable practices.

Recognizing his immense potential, we proudly selected him as a field staff member. With this opportunity, Vasu embarked on his professional journey with SWMRT.

"Due to this profession, I have gained much recognition and respect," Vasu proudly declares. "I have learned so many things from the skilling program."

At SWMRT, we're on a mission to make a profound impact in the lives of young individuals like Vasu, who come from rural and unemployed backgrounds.

Through our carefully curated skill development program, we unlock their potential and develop them into Swachata Karigars, with skills that shape a sustainable tomorrow.

The ripple effect of your contribution is astounding. With these enhanced skills, we can divert a staggering 65% of the total waste generated by bulk waste generators away from landfills, benefiting both our environment and our communities.

It's a true win-win situation, where every rupee you donate goes towards transforming lives and nurturing our planet's environment.

Help us build a brighter future for these young minds and a cleaner, more sustainable world for all of us.

Dear Supporter,

Your unwavering support has been a driving force behind our mission to transform lives, and we are deeply grateful for your continued trust and dedication.

As we approach DaanUtsav 2023, we are reaching out to you with renewed enthusiasm and a powerful opportunity. This year, we are excited to be part of the 100 Heroes initiative, hosted by Give, which runs from October 2nd to November 24th. This fundraising festival presents a unique chance for us to make an even greater impact with your help.

Every rupee you contribute or raise on our behalf will be a step closer to unlocking matching incentives, increasing our ability to reach and assist more beneficiaries.

Here's how you can join our mission #100Heroes in 2023:

Make a Donation: You can contribute directly to our cause on GIVE. Your generous donation will be eligible for a tax exemption and also count towards our matching rewards.

AND/OR

Start a Fundraiser: You can make an even bigger impact by starting your own fundraiser for our cause on Give platform. Rally your friends, family, and colleagues to support our mission and watch as your efforts contribute to our fundraising success.

With your support, we can reach new milestones and continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

The funds you help us raise will be utilized for stipends, personal protective equipment (PPE), tools, food and transport during the training. Many of our trainees are daily wage earners or unemployed, so providing a stipend is essential to compensate for the loss of wages while they participate in the training. This stipend not only encourages their attendance but also provides an added incentive for unemployed youth to take advantage of this valuable opportunity.

In summary, your support will enable us to tackle a pressing environmental issue, create jobs, and empower our community while living deserving individuals the skills they need to transform waste into a valuable resource. Join us in our mission to build a cleaner, more sustainable future for all.

Thank you!
