“I saw a girl, barely 7 or 8, being pushed into flesh trade. Her cries for help still echo in my ears. There were men as old as 60 r*ping the innocent child. That was the day I knew my mission in life was to get these children out of the hell-like conditions in red-light areas. They are nothing short of hell and no child deserves to grow up in this environment” says Vinay Vasta, founder of Social Activities Integration, an organisation committed to freeing children trapped in red-light areas.
Vinay and his NGO have been able to provide education, medical care and nutrition to over 2,500 children. But his dream to provide safe shelter to children remains unrealized. “We do our best to keep these children safe during the day but sadly they are forced to go back to the red light areas at night as we don’t have a home for them. Your donation can help us build a safe home for children of sex workers and prevent them from being pulled into prostitution. Donate to make this dream a reality

Life in red light areas
“S*x workers use their homes which are barely 6 feet by 4 feet for their business. They invite customers in the presence of their children. Their children not only witness abuse but experience it too. Just imagine a child being told that all she can ever become in life is a pr*stitute”, Vinay shares as he explains the extent of abuse children face in red light areas.
This is a life that thousands of children are forced to live behind closed doors where they suffer abuse and exploitation morning, noon and night.
A ray of hope
Vinay has been relentlessly trying to give children the care and education they deserve. He has provided quality English education to thousands of children, enabling them to secure a livelihood out of red-light areas. Several children taught by Vinay are today leading successful lives as professionals and Government employees.
However the sad reality is that Vinay and his NGO, in the absence of a permanent shelter home, are unable to provide round the clock safety to these children, which is essential for their well-being.
Your donations can enable SAI to build a shelter home for the children of sex workers and usher in a new tomorrow for them, away from the horrors of red-light areas.
Donate to this fundraiser on Give.do, India’s largest and most trusted online donation platform, to provide safe shelter for children of sex workers and save them from abuse and second generation pr*stitution.

We are pleased to report that SAI has made excellent progress in rescuing the poor and needy children from red-light areas in Mumbai.
Our visit started at 11:00 AM where we met the project team and SAI founder Mr. Vinay. He took us through SAI's humble origins and remarked on the incredible developments in its capabilities and efforts through the years. The meeting was insightful and redoubled our conviction in SAI's mission. It was truly moving to learn how this nonprofit has worked relentlessly to break the chains of abuse that children in red-light areas face, providing them with safety, protection, and a chance for a brighter future. Hearing about the impact they’ve had on these vulnerable children left us with immense respect for the work being done and the dedication of everyone involved. It’s a testament to how compassion and relentless effort can transform lives.
During our visit to a beneficiary’s home, a 10x10 space with minimal living conditions, we witnessed the harsh environment families endure. The building was unhygienic, with pan stains and garbage, making it unsuitable for children. This highlighted the urgent need for our project to build shelter homes for the children of women prostitutes, known as "Didis." The Didis expressed a strong desire to protect their daughters and ensure a better future, free from the harsh realities they currently face.
SAI's commitment to efficiency is clear. Their reliance on digital financial infrastructure as opposed to using cash as well as their transparency ensures the smooth functioning and execution of their operations. SAI is truly a model for goodwill and competence. Check out some pictures below!
As such, your efforts are crucial in our struggle to make sure children have a future beyond the environment they grew up in. Please consider making a donation.

Little Shweta (name changed) is a 5-year-old girl from Mumbai whose mother was ill-treated and entrapped in prostitution. Shweta was bound to follow in her mother's footsteps and needed outside support to escape the vicious cycle. SAI's timely intervention was crucial in rescuing Shweta from her dreadful conditions and sending her to school.
With SAI's support, she got promoted from the second to the third standard! Social Activities Integration intervenes to send children just like her to institutions where they -
. Receive free, healthy meals daily
. Are taught English, Mathematics, Hindi, etc.
. Are allowed to explore their interests by engaging in extra-curricular activities
SAI provides the children of sex workers a future beyond their parent's dreams. So far we have helped 61 children including 43 boys and 18 girls escape the shadow of child abuse and trafficking.
Please help us do more! SAI needs your help to expand our reach and improve the education received by these innocent souls. Donate now to make a difference.
