Help women artisans of Maheshwar with ration and medical supplies.

We come to you today with an appeal to support our artisans, their craft and community.

We are a community of women artisans who create gorgeous intricate Maheshwari weaves.

However, today we are making this appeal for support as our looms have been silenced for over a year now. The tourism dependent economy of Maheshwar has been severely hit and the entire town is reeling under the pandemic. Nevertheless, we have resolved to compensate the artisans and their families through this crisis and we need your help to see us through this difficult time.

Our diligent community members have decided to check on the well being of all artisan families. This is an appeal to help us keep going, to help us meet our fixed costs and pay our people, and to help us meet medical emergencies.

Your contribution matters, however big or small.

We have 2000 artisan families, of which 500 are in dire need of help.

Rs. 1150 ensures food supplies for one month.

Rs. 500 ensures medical and sanitary supplies for one month.

Our women are a strong bunch. Most of them are divorced or separated and are single earning members of their families. Many have faced prejudice from the society at large.

We can't get together physically to support them but we can ensure they stay safe in their houses. This can happen only if we take care of their provisions.
