Holistic (General Medical assistance) Support for Pediatric Oncology in Tamil Nadu

50-70% children with cancer do not survive the disease. In India there are about 50,000 new cases of children with cancer each year, which is quite high a number.

Our this project will address the following problems surrounding the children with cancer in India:

 Social stigma about cancer

 Late detection and diagnosis

 Exorbitant cost of treatment

 Inadequate cancer treatment facilities

 Insufficient supportive care, leading to treatment abandonment and infection

1. Cankids will provide a complete range of support services to families of children with cancer during the treatment and shall try to reintegrate parents and survivors back into the society.

2. Providing medical support- diagnostic and drug support

1. Ensuring Continuity of treatment - Abandonment increases due to lack of finance, hence the project funds will ensure that families continue with the treatment and save the lives of their children.

2. Ensuring financial security for treatment.
