I am fundraising for a cause close to my heart—Aastha.

Aastha – Shelter Home for Women is our ongoing program that provides shelter, food, necessary support, and opportunities for women in distress.

Most of these women have returned to their homes once their problems were resolved, while some have started living independently after gaining confidence.

One critical issue faced by the Aastha Project is the limited income-generating opportunities within the shelter that can help these women achieve financial independence. We have already started Aastha Bhojanalaya, a cloud kitchen serving food via Zomato and Swiggy and preparing meals under the Don Ghas program as part of this project. However, we need to offer more such opportunities, reduce costs, increase sales, and make the Aastha Project sustainable.

To address some of these challenges, we wish to buy an electric auto-rickshaw for Aastha. We expect this auto-rickshaw to help provide an additional earning opportunity for the women in our shelter home and reduce costs to ensure long-term sustainability.
