🌟 Aarambh: A New Beginning for Rajasthan’s Adolescents

A Fundraising Story for Kishmish Foundation

In the heart of Rajasthan’s aspirational districts, every evening you will find a group of adolescents gathered around a small community space. Some walk from 2–3 km away, some cycle, and some come straight after helping their parents at home.

Among them is Ravi(Name changed), a Class 10 boy who dreams of becoming an engineer but doesn’t know where to start.

During our orientation, he quietly asked:

“Sir… computer chalana toh aata nahi. Par future mein job kaise milegi?”

(Sir, I don’t know how to use a computer. How will I ever get a job in the future?)

This is the reality for thousands of adolescents across Rajasthan’s bright, hopeful children who simply lack exposure to digital literacy and the 21st-century skills that define opportunities today.

🌱 Kishmish Foundation’s Aarambh Program: A Ray of Hope

Aarambh means “a beginning”, A beginning of learning, confidence, and opportunity.

Under this program, we train adolescents from Classes 9 to 12 in:

• Digital Literacy
• 21st-Century Skills
• Career Awareness
• Safe community-based learning

Our team regularly hears students ask:

“Didi, kya hum bhi online form bhar paayenge?”

(Ma’am, will we also be able to fill online forms?)

“Sir, Google pe project banana seekh sakte hain?”

(Sir, can we learn how to make a project on Google?)

Their curiosity shows how deeply this learning is needed.

🔖 Government Support: A Big Step Forward

We are proud to share that we have received official permission from the CEO, Dholpur, to run the Aarambh program across the district.

This recognition shows that the administration believes in our mission and the change it can bring.

But…

❗ Our Hands Are Tied Because of Financial Constraints

Even with government support, we are unable to begin full implementation because we lack the funds needed for:

• Digital learning equipment
• Training materials
• Travel and facilitation
• Community learning support

This dream can move forward only with your support.
