Greetings from Ajagar Social Circle (ASC).

We write to seek your urgent support for communities devastated by the recent floods in Assam. The disaster has created an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, claiming 82 lives, leaving more than 100 people untraced, and displacing over 7 lakh people across the state. Thousands of families have lost their homes, crops, livestock, and livelihoods, while access to safe drinking water, food, healthcare, and sanitation remains severely disrupted in many affected areas.

For over two decades, Ajagar Social Circle has worked alongside vulnerable rural communities in Assam, responding to disasters and promoting sustainable livelihoods. Building on this experience, we are launching an Emergency Flood Relief and Early Recovery Programme to support the most vulnerable households, including women, children, elderly persons, persons with disabilities, small and marginal farmers, and indigenous communities.

The proposed intervention will focus on:

· Emergency food and dry ration kits

· Safe drinking water and hygiene kits

· Temporary shelter materials (tarpaulins, blankets, mosquito nets)

· Medical camps and essential medicines

· Child protection and education support

· Livelihood recovery through agricultural inputs and household restoration

Your CSR or philanthropic contribution will enable timely, transparent, and accountable assistance to families who have lost everything. Every contribution—whether financial, in-kind, or technical—will directly support life-saving relief and help communities recover with dignity.
