Impart training under SDTP for ST youths

Large number of youths from poor tribal sect across Wayanad after mere matriculation is seen wandering jobless. Because of abject poverty combined with lack of consciousness and geographical barriers that created inhibitive environment in societies chronically plagued by mass deprivation and starvation, but they have their own talents in many extra-curricular activities.

The chances of getting job on simply having academic qualification now a day’s becomes very difficult, Vocational education in Wiremen & Plumping and Tailoring & Embroidery under SDTP is also mainstreamed here to improve the employability which will also help to meet the growing need for workers with specialized vocational skills. The training now imparted here for matriculated tribal youths of having age of 18 years and above.

Each training is now accommodated 30 members for a period of 3 months Wiremen & Plumping and 6 months for tailoring & Embroidery will be provided with certificate on completion of the training which may be used for seeking employment in private/public seek as well as to obtain license to start self employment etc.
