Improve living conditions of the rural community through sustainable management of natural resources and education support

Our main concern is centred around the issues of natural resources conservation, especially water and soil conservation, biodiversity conservation and forest development. We are also focusing on livelihood development of small and marginal farmers and landless labourers. We are supporting the education of poor and orphan children. Livelihood development initiatives include skill development training, self-help concept development, financial inclusion, and entrepreneurship development. We will sustain these activities through development of promotion of cooperatives and Producers Companies

we are conserving surface water through different water harvesting structures including harvesting pits, spring rejuvenation, lake rejuvenation and farm pond construction.

MANUVIKASA is working in the area of educational support to poor and orphan children, sustainable management of natural resources and livelihood development of poor women and small and marginal farmers. We are conserving 1944 million litres of water every year. We have developed 2430 farm ponds and small tanks and rejuvenated 20 large lakes. We are providing access to irrigation facilities to the agriculture land. We are conserving community forest land and developing water harvesting pits, different types of water harvesting structures to improve spring level. We have developed 10000 water harvesting pits and more than 200 water harvesting structures. We are improving the economic conditions of the small and marginal farmers and landless labourers. We are providing skills training to the primary stakeholders and organizing women members under self-help groups and joint liability groups, and providing financial and capacity building support. We are helping farmers to improve the price of their agriculture products through value addition and reduce the cost of production through mechanization and collective processing units. We are supporting women members to improve income generating activities with linking them to different nationalized banks, financial institutions and cooperative. We are supporting women groups through the transfer of technological knowledge.

We have supported 1500 poor and orphan children through providing basic necessity materials, learning materials and scholarships.

1. Developed 2430 small water harvesting units or farm ponds and harvesting 1944 million litres of water every year.

2. Provided irrigation facilities to 8500 acres of farm land and helped 4740 farmers. Farmers are getting the second crop through this irrigation.

3. More than 250 hectares of horticulture crop benefitted through farm ponds

4. Covered 800 acres of land under the System of Rice Intensification (SRI) method. Farmers are getting 30% extra crop production through this effort.

5. Total 1250 Self Help Groups (SHGs) and 1500 Joint Liability Groups (JLGs) are promoted and extended Rs 40 Cr of micro finance to 10000 families for their income generation activities.

6. Provided learning materials, basic necessity materials and scholarships to 1800 poor and orphan children to continue education in the working area.

7. Provided micro insurance for low-income groups covering 2000 families.

8. Developed 150 energy efficient smokeless choolas (Boiling water stoves)

9. Developed 10 big lakes and another 20 are under progress

10. Working with 20000 families on entrepreneurship development and financial inclusion

11. Developed Cooperative with involving 2800 members especially women and Farmers Producer Company for 800 small and marginal farmers

12. The turnover of the cooperative is Rs. 3 Crores and the turnover of FPC is Rs. 50 Lakhs.
