Invest In Child Dreams

 1 out of every 8 students enrolled in a school or college tends to drop out midway without completing their education, and, over 62% of all dropouts happen at the school level, reveals a survey by the National Statistical Office (NSO) of the government of India. The major reason being financial constraints and students taking up employment. The COVID-19 pandemic worsened the situation for marginalized communities. With many parents losing their jobs, students were forced to take up work to earn for basic necessities. Although we are on the path to economic recovery now, unpaid debts, loans and food & shelter, are the critical expenditure that are looming large for parents. Education of their wards are not their top priority, with many of them considering discontinuing it, leaving the education of millions of students a big question mark.

Dream School Foundation (DSF - http://www.dsfindia.org/) is an NGO which works towards ensuring that all children, irrespective of their socio-economic background, have access to quality education and opportunities for holistic development. Through this project DSF will provide financial support to children to continue their education without being impacted by the financial liabilities. It will also provide them with curriculum assistance, life skills and leadership development, apart from counselling and personal mentoring. This will go a long way in supporting them, to make up for the learning they lost over the last one year, ensure they don’t discontinue education and take care of their mental well-being

There are millions of children from marginalized communities with tremendous potential, who just lack the opportunity to equip themselves with an education.
