It's time for our kids' Annual Trip!

Our kids RARELY EVER have the opportunity to leave their slum communities, given their financial constraints.

Living fifteen minutes from the World's second longest beach, some of our children have never seen or experienced it! Can you believe it?!

To bridge this opportunity and access gap, at Yein Udaan we are on a mission to take our kids across India! In 2019, we went to Coorg and in 2023 we were in Delhi and Agra!!

This year, we're taking them to the wild jungles and royal palaces of Madikerai and Mysore!

At the most basic level, field trips enable children to leave their community. Imagine being stuck in your neighbourhood, reading about the beach, museums, malls, but never being able to see them in person! Limiting, right?!

Field trips and excursions help students build their social skills and confidence by leaving their safety nets and exploring the World beyond.

They help children relate experiences to textbook learning, improving their understanding and interest in wanting to learn and enquire further.

Think back to your school days - how much did you enjoy those holidays with your friends? If "lots" is your answer, then ask yourself, why should financial constraints prevent these children from EVER experiencing those moments and making those memories...

This trip is organised by Ruchi Mohunta's team at Nature Diaries. Nature Diaries is an experiential education company started in 2011. While they cater to many schools in planning their domestic and international curriculum oriented trips, the one with Yein Udaan is their favourite. Ms Ruchi Mohunta is an experiential educator and loves to take her subject knowledge of history to the outdoors.
