JANGALMAHAL MOBILE HEALTH CARE UNIT

Tribal healthcare in India usually falls within the ambit of rural healthcare. The assumption that the problems and needs of tribal people are the same as that of rural populations is incorrect; the difference in terrain, environment, social systems and culture, all lead to tribal communities having their unique set of healthcare needs.

Tribal communities face the “triple burden” of disease. Apart from high rates of malnutrition and communicable diseases (TB, leprosy, HIV etc), the advent of rapid urbanization, and changing lifestyles and environment, has led to a rise in non-communicable diseases as well (cancer, diabetes, and hypertension)in addition to mental illness and subsequent addiction. 

Though tribal people represent heterogeneous groups yet they have one commonality in terms of poor health indicators, a more significant burden of morbidity and mortality. Women because of their close ties and relationship with the forest, are the most susceptible to various health vulnerabilities and exploitation. Though Govt. Initiatives of the NRHM were able to establish the health structure. Yet, the shortage of medical staff and personnel put an extra burden on the paramedical staff and the private clinics in the areas resultantly making the health infrastructure very poor and negligible. 

Our goal is to provide timely treatment to the tribal and non-tribal populations of the under-privileged sections by running Mobile Health Care units in significant places. We aim to reduce the diseases amongst the target community by a significant number and thereby eradicate the health issues faced by them. Following Free, Services to be provided on the spot/at their doorstep with our Ultramodern Mobile Health Care Unit:-

(a)  Medical Examination & treatment by renowned doctors & health staff

(c)  On the spot ECG, & other medical tests required for diagnosis & treatment

(d)   Medicines, Injections as prescribed by the concerned Doctor and counselling

(e)  Treatment in hygienic and ultramodern AC Doctor’s Chamber inside the Mobile Hospital Unit with power backup facility.
