Clubfoot is completely treatable if diagnosed early. Yet, in countries like India, a majority of children born with it are still left disabled simply because their parents can’t afford treatment. That’s what Anushkaa Foundation is changing.

Kunal and his team are on a mission to make sure no child in India has to grow up with this curable disability. “In a short span of time, we are the single largest clubfoot programme in the world. But our work isn’t done—not until we ensure that no child is disabled in India as a result of being born with clubfoot.”

Kunal and his NGO Anushkaa Foundation not only provides free of cost treatment but stand with families through out their journey. “When I met a mother and a grandmother who had brought their child to our clinic, they had spent the last six months getting incorrect treatment. They were emotional, they were crying. They just needed to be comforted, that this is curable. That’s where the Anushkaa team comes in—right from counselling parents, ensuring that they know this is treatable, to getting them the right treatment.”

But they can’t do it alone

Their vision is clear, “Our aim at Anushkaa Foundation is that we want to be in every single district in India and we want to make sure that no child is disabled as a result of being born with clubfoot.”
