During this covid crisis since their families are not financially in a position to support, these terminally ill patients are entirely supported by our Trust (medicines, Nursing care food and shelter, other expenses).

The focus is to provide quality of life for terminally ill from the underprivileged they are given care, pain management, counselling, bed side care and support for daily living activity for the patients in this condition. The organization provides pain relief and palliative care to terminally ill patients and their families through medical care and counselling. The organization provides out/in patient service and home visits, family support and counselling, grief and bereavement support. The beneficiaries of the care are terminally ill & geriatric patients from the economically weaker sections of the society. 

The most effective means of judging the success of the project was to observe and interact with the patients at Karuansagar. Many of the beneficiaries of the Trust have been abandoned by their families and in some cases, have been cheated of their wealth as well. While most are old and suffering from long-term and/or terminal illnesses, there were some younger patients with cerebral palsy and in one case, paralysis. The period of stay ranged anywhere from a few months to many years. Many patients reported feeling much better and recovering significantly following their admission at Karunasagar.
