Sankalp India Foundation has been on a mission since 2003, providing systematic care and management for over 2000 children battling thalassemia across 18+ centers in India. We've conducted over 1500 blood donation drives, collecting over 150,000 units of blood, and facilitated life-saving Bone Marrow Transplants for over 500 children at nominal costs.

But behind these numbers lies the story of young Sai Busha Raju and his family's journey—a tale of resilience, and hope. Sai Busha's life was marked by health challenges until a devastating diagnosis of Thalassemia major changed everything.

This led them to Sankalp, where they found not just medical care, but a place of warmth and support. After months of intense treatment, Sai Busha received a life-saving Bone Marrow Transplant, becoming a symbol of triumph over adversity.

Overwhelmed by the love and compassion they encountered at Sankalp, Sai Busha's mother, Ms. Saidamma, found a newfound purpose within her heart. The 14 years spent by her son's side had transformed her into a beacon of knowledge about Thalassemia and its causes. Reflecting upon her own marriage to her maternal uncle, she recognized that this familial connection had placed her in the high-risk zone for spreading this devastating condition. Determined to protect her loved ones, she embarked on a mission of awareness, sharing vital information about Thalassemia and urging her family members to undergo tests. Through her efforts, one of her cousin brothers discovered he carried the burden of Thalassemia minor. His wife, after receiving counselling and guidance, tested negative, an outcome that filled their hearts with gratitude for the awareness spread by Ms. Saidamma.
